Such love I cannot analyse;
It does not rest in lips or eyes,
Neither in kisses nor caress.
Partly, I know, it’s gentleness
And understanding in one word
Or in brief letters. It’s preserved
By trust and by respect and awe.
These are the words I’m feeling for.
Two people, yes, two lasting friends.
The giving comes, the taking ends.
There is no measure for such things.
For this all Nature slows and sings.

Beautiful – I liked this one, my friend! :-)
Can you give us a break down of this poem too? Cause I’m doing a project and I want to know this poem in depth. Also I like it kinda. I personally prefer poems that speak about feminism but this one is pretty cute. I like the point of view that marriage is more than marrying a person, it’s marrying your best friend. I feel that even though we are in the 21st century marriage, for a lot of people still, is an obligation and in this poem (in my opinion) we get more of a sense of marriage as a choice. I love the choice of rhyme scheme and overall the choice of words gives me a sense of lightness and joy and to some extent the feeling of a dream, which love and marriage should be instead of it being forced and resembling more of a nightmare than a dream lol. Anyway I have to finish my project. Hope y’all having a good day where ever y’all are! Cya <3
